Nocton Dairies Ltd is in the process of preparing a planning application to create an 8,100 cow dairy farm on heath land south of Lincoln near the villages of Nocton and Dunston.
The plan is not yet finalised, and there is no current or valid information concerning the proposal in the public domain at the moment.
However, once the planning application, which includes information on any potential impacts to the environment and the local community, is ready, it will be submitted and information about its content will be made available through North Kesteven District Council with a summary on this website.
Furthermore, information will be released about the welfare and management standards for which Nocton Dairies will be aiming. This will include details about how the cows will eat, drink, rest, exercise and graze on a daily basis, and the management principles and policies that will be put in place to ensure the dairy, while the largest in the UK, will also be a showcase for welfare and environmental best practice.
We hope that at the point this new information is released, everyone will be able to take time to investigate the true facts around this proposal.
